A larger 15.5-Inch MacBook Air discovered in App Store developer logs, to be powered by the same M2 chip with 8GB of RAM
According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple will launch the larger 15.5-inch MacBook Air at its WWDC 2023 event on June 5. The news was shared in a report that also cited that an unreleased 15-inch MacBook Air running a version of the M2 chip was discovered in the App Store developer logs. The report also shared details on the processor's configuration and core count, highlighting that the chip's performance is "on par" with the M2 chip.
According to the details mentioned in the report, the M2 chip in the upcoming 15.5-inch MacBook Air will feature an 8-core CPU and a 10-core GPU. The core configuration of the chip is the same as the current version of the M2 chip. It can be presumed that the larger variant of the MacBook Air will feature the same computational and graphics performance as the 13.6-inch variant, which was announced last year in June.
Other than the M2 chip, the 15.5-inch MacBook Air is also reported to house 8GB of RAM.
